OneOS NG3 is Coming!
OneOS NG3 is coming! Version 3 is a major upgrade to the OneOS platform with a completely redesigned interface and navigation system as well as a host of new features and improvements.
Please read the below carefully to make sure you are familiar with some of the changes when NG3 starts rolling out.
New Interface
The biggest and most noticeable change is the new user interface and navigation system.
You can now open multiple views in tabs across the top of OneOS, this allows you to switch between tasks seamlessly and jump to other parts of the system while retaining your current work.
The redesigned tool bar on each page now includes an ‘X’ to close the tab.
In the top right of OneOS is an icon that looks like a no entry sign, this is a quick link to close ALL open tabs.
You can also see that the cost centre selection drop down has now moved to the left menu too, this is to make way for the tabbed view. The icon in the very top left corner will collapse the left menu to maximise the viewing space.
Page Toolbar
The page toolbar has been redesigned with the three core icons now replaced by menus that better reflect their functions for File, View and Action. These still contain the same drop down functions as the previous icon menu buttons.
Over on the right hand side you will find the familiar tools as shown above that allow you to (from left to right) Refresh, Filter, Print, Export, Search, Configure options and close the tab.
Reports Pages
The reports pages have also been redesigned to make it easier to find what you are looking for, each report also has a category that you can filter on the right to narrow down by – these are shown in coloured tags on the bottom right of each report.
Report descriptions have also been updated to give a better description of what each does.
Clicking a report will open it in a new tab so you can open multiple at any given time.
Movement Details
The movement details page has had a complete redesign with better alignment of general data in the left panel and the addition of new improved key metric data blocks.
The data blocks show weekly average figures for VTP, Gross, Supplier Earnings and Minimum and Target model earnings. The data is shown as comparative for the last 4 weeks, last 12 weeks and installed lifetime of the machine. A graph has been included to track the VTP and Gross figures on collections over the last 12 weeks.
Site Review Spreadsheet
From the site screen, the new ‘Document’ menu allows you to create site level documents.
More will be added in future updates but currently you can create and download a site review spreadsheet. This has been designed with the requirements of retail customers for representatives to carry out site visits and reviews.
Quick Collection Print
The quick collection print produces an A4 report giving the basic collection details, this can then be printed or emailed to customers as required.
This can be accessed by clicking the print icon on the top right of the collection detail screen.
You may notice in the above screenshot the information has now been better aligned to make it easier to read and understand.
Remote Billing
When using remote billing to generate collections and associated invoices, the collection is linked to the invoice so when sending the invoice to the customer the associated collection print can be included in the PDF.
When printing an individual invoice with an attached collection you will be promoted to include the collection print. When printing bulk invoices, there is a check option to allow you to include the collection print as seen below ‘Include associated collection detail’. (Please note – if using pre-printed headed paper, the collection detail print may overlay the header and or footer of your document).
The collection detail is printed as shown below:
Engineering Downtime
Service call downtime is calculated by default against the company settings for ‘Service Start’ and ‘Service End’, as set in System > Company Settings > Engineering. So outside of these hours downtime will not be calculated.
In NG3, if the site has opening hours recorded against it, downtime will be calculated using the site opening time to give a more accurate representation of downtime for the customer.
If opening hours are not available, the downtime will be calculated using the system defaults.
Collection Transmission Diary
A new screen has been added to show work that has been sent manually to collectors, this is available from Collections > Routes > Transmission Diary.
It will show any work sent to collectors that is currently pending download or was queued for today with the current status.
You can also cancel any pending sites from the menu option if the work is no longer required.
NG3 will begin rolling out in the coming days and we have a huge announcement coming soon!
