OneOS Update 1.0.27.0

The latest update to OneOS brings some new functionality as well as some tweaks and adjustments, so lets dive in:

ADIPS Machine Inspection

We have added a field to the machine models to specify if the particular piece of equipment requires ADIPS inspections, in the workshop menu you will also find a dedicated menu showing machines due for inspection within the next 30 days or overdue. You can also register the inspection date and result against a machine.

Service Call Issue

We have added a function to allow for only authorized contacts to be able to place calls for a site, this is enabled at a site level. When set, any call being placed by a customer will be checked against the site contacts and only those authorized to do so will be able to place calls. If a non-allowed contact is placing a call, a message will be displayed to the user.

Request Planning System

There have been a couple of adjustments made to the planning system, mainly that when authorizing requests for installation or machine changes the specific machine can no-longer be selected, this is now only done via the planning console. The user can still select the model to be used.

The planning console can now only be opened against a selected costcentre, this prevents cross centre users having conflicting machines planned at the same time.

The route mapping has been re-enabled in the planning console and updated to use the latest (and faster) mapping service.

Site Gains Report

We have added a new report to find the first installation date on sites, using this between date ranges allows you to quickly find new sites in that period.

Data Export Logging

Every time a user exports, prints or emails data from OneOS it will be logged, there is a new report in the company section to allow directors to see this activity.

Everything Else

As well as the functionality changes above this update also includes:

  • Fleet – added list price field to vehicles
  • Fleet – added a report to show vehicle assignments between selected dates
  • Stores – added manual stock adjustment function
  • Movement Changes Report – added optional machine financial information (for admin users)
  • Service Calls Report – added option to show downtime
  • Financial – added sited machine depreciation report
  • Customer Terms – added batch update function (for company managers)
  • Cloud Hosted Version – fixed an issue with service claim signatures not showing
  • Meter Import – fixed an issue for legacy movements showing incorrect meter labels

OneOS Mobile Is Here

Today we are releasing OneOS Mobile for Android!
The new app replaces and incorporates TechCall – the mobile engineering app and OnShift – our employee tracking app, as well as adding a host of new features for all users of OneOS.

When a user logs in, the available options and features will depend on the individual’s job role and system permissions.
Engineers will have access to the same service call sections from TechCall.
Collectors will have access to their planned collection run and site list.
Business development managers will have access to their site list, and installed machine details.

All users will have access to the integrated messaging, address book, appointments and reminders as well as holiday requests and status.

OneOS Mobile is the perfect companion for all users, this initial release includes the features listed below and there are more to follow in the coming months:

OneOS – New Feature: Report Builder

So today with the release of OneOS version 1.0.3.0 we are introducing the power report builder!

Although OneOS contains a large selection of reports that cover everything from collections to financial performance, and most include selectable options and configurations, we often get asked for additional fields to be added here or there for individual customers.

The new report builder allows you to create bespoke reports from hundreds of available fields, and configure the parameters the report will run against, and built into a handy drag and drop interface.
Once you have created your report it will save to the ‘My Reports’ menu or you can share it with other users too.

The report builder can be found at the top of the ‘My Reports’ menu, click to launch. We have included a demo video here to show you the builder in action.

What Can I Build?

As an example, you could use the report builder to find collections between selected dates, that were carried out by a specific collector or for a specified customer and select the exact fields you want to see in the report. This allows you to create truly individual reports with the information that applies to your business.

Getting Better All The Time

The release today of report builder is the first in a planned development that will continue over future releases of OneOS where we will continue to add features and functions.

SiteCall Update 2.0.0.24

A new update is now available for SiteCall NG, in this release we have included the addition of ‘Dark Mode’. The theme is now available that complements OneOS throughout, it can be enabled from the settings section.

In this update:

  • Dark mode has been added
  • New meter entry function allows all meter readings to be entered against all machines without going into the collection processing screen for each one. This should aid when collecting sites with large numbers of machines.
  • Seasonal settings have been included.
  • General improvements in the user interface and the background functionality.

TechCall NG – Public Availability

After several months of fields testing with engineers across the country, today TechCall NG is being made available on general release via the Google Play Store.

TechCall NG was not an incremental update of the original app, but was re-built from the ground up, bringing a new look, new sync engine, new features and functionality as well as taking advantage of the latest features in the Android operating system.

Some of the features available in TechCall NG are:

  • Easier call management and completion.
  • Better service area management with alerts specific to areas being covered.
  • Service projects can now contain custom surveys.
  • Better location tracking and device logging.
  • Geo-alerts when within range of outstanding calls.
  • Near-me feature, to easily see on a map calls close by.
  • Non-service activity logging.
  • VCloud online file storage integration.
  • Improved sync and notifications.
  • Mileage capture.
  • Company wide address book.
  • Integrated messaging.
  • Log-out reminders.

Also new features such as customer order deliveries will be added in the coming months as part of the development road map for TechCall NG.

OneOS NG Update 1.0.0.40

The latest version of OneOS NG has a number of significant changes, this update includes:

New:

  • Option to set site types as duty exempt, this will apply when collecting machines in both OneOS and SiteCall.
  • Depot manager menu added to the main menu, this has depot specific calendars and holiday request processing.
  • A new ‘Machine Settings’ in Operations with access to the machine class, category, meter profiles and machine validators, which have been re-located here.
  • New meter types added for redemption ticket out, this accounts for percentage payout in calculations, and a new cash in with non-metered payout – this should be used for machines such as pushers where the output cannot be metered.
  • Engineer log in sessions on TechCall have been added to the service calendar where an engineer has been logged in for 30 minutes or more.
  • A notes box has been added to the ‘Add device’ to machine for recording additional information.
  • Online user manual has been added to the top right tool bar. This will open the latest version of the user manual.

Updated:

  • Machine validators have moved into the new ‘Machine Settings’ menu as described above.
  • On the main personal calendar, holidays have been added for admin and managers.
  • VCloud file storage integration has been updated with search, folder download and a new status bar replacing the full screen loading splash which shows the status of large file downloads.
  • The engineer activity report has been updated to give a chronological view of all activities by the specified user.
  • Some interface tweaks to improve dark mode.

Fixed:

  • We have fixed an issue where the filters would reset on a grid if you un-checked the check box filter.
  • Fixed an issue where copy and pasting numbers on certain forms could cause a crash.
  • The usual minor bug fixes.

OneOS – Cloud Edition

Today we are launching a new hosted service to provide OneOS to customers without the need for an on-site server. 

OneOS can now be hosted in the cloud and it is all managed by us here at VMA Systems, our support team will take care of the set up, installations and software updates, so you always have the latest version of the OneOS platform.

OneOS Update Roundup

This week we are releasing updates for all OneOS products, some small and some big, details below. The updates will start rolling out from Tuesday 12/09.

OneOS NG

  • Added new ‘Dark Mode’ in user preferences
  • Added new custom service project surveys to build you own data capture response forms.
  • Updated a lot of the user interface along with the dark mode to improve some areas and colour contrasts.
  • Added folder upload to the VCloud integration, you can now drag and drop a folder onto the up-loader as well as individual files.
  • Fixed some minor background bugs and adjusted some print formats.

SiteCall NG

  • Added a new tab view to the site details section showing outstanding and completed collections in respective tabs, as well as a filter to organise the way collections are listed.
  • Added VCloud integration so users can browse company files.

One CRM

  • Added VCloud storage integration so users can browse company files.
  • Auto open site when downloading a single site file.

TechCall NG

We are releasing beta 5 to our testers, while we prepare to publish the first public release which includes the following:

  • Added rep information and contact button to site overview.
  • Added new project surveys to call completion.
  • Adjusted the add new call drop-down to show sites in selected areas only.
  • Added machine serial in drop down when adding a new call.
